Rainbow Six Siege's New Showdown Event Is Out Now On PS4, Xbox One, And PC

Ubisoft has revealed a brand-new limited-time, mid-season event for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege,', the Showdown mode alongside a new map, Fort Truth, is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.Slated to run from July 2 to July 16, the Showdown event pitches a three-versus-three variant of Secure Area on the new Fort Truth locale.

"They roam across the land, bringing order to those who ain’t got any, and they ain’t about to let nobody stop them. They are The Law. On the opposite side, the lawbreaking Graveltop Gang. Some say that gunpowder runs through their veins. The only thing they believe in is gold, and they will grab it by hook or by crook. These two have grudges to settle… and bodies to bury."

Fort Truth is a very small map, consisting mostly of outdoor ruins and a central church and has a distinct wild west theme.Showdown mode is a new 3v3 elimination with short 90 second rounds, that takes place on a new map designed specifically for the mode.

Instead of Siege's usual automatic assault rifles, the mode only allows the BOSG 12.2 shotgun re-skinned to look like a Wild West-era repeater rifle and the Magnum LFP586 revolver.You can also choose from a smaller selection of Operators than traditional Siege modes: it's three of Maverick, Ash, Twitch, Capitao, and Glaz up against a trio from Alibi, Kaid, Caveira, Maestro, and Rook.

All new selection of Alpha Packs are available, named "Showdown Packs"and costs 300 R6 credits each, granting you a number of 31 new exclusive customization items.

AN OLD TALE

In the Wildest days of the West, two factions clashed on many occasions. Faced with justice, the vile Graveltop Gang always managed to vanish into the desert. That is until they finally faced off in the husk of an old fort. That day, they say bullets rained like never before.

Meet The Law, or the big guns as we like to call ’em. There’s never been a band of gunslingers more dedicated to justice:
