Fortnite V10.20 Patch Notes Update: Borderlands Crossover, Claptrap, Psycho And Pandora Rift Zones

Fortnite v10.20 patch notes update is now live. Fortnite and Borderlands have collided as Claptrap, Psycho, Pandora Rift Zones, and more have entered the world of Fortnite in its Fortnite X Mayhem event in celebration of the upcoming release of Borderlands 3. Fans can now download the 10.20 update.The new Fortnite update is available to download on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS and Android.


The crossover comes as part of the v10.20 update, adapting the gas station location in Fortnite's desert biome into a town realized with Borderlands' distinctive art style, full of bright colors and thick, comic book-inspired outlines. 

Announced by Fortnite, the Fortnite X Mayhem event runs from today through September 10 and allows players to "shoot and loot your way through the Pandora Rift Zone, take on themed Challenges for free rewards, and pick up the Psycho Bundle from the shop."The Psycho bundle will cost 2,000 V-Bucks and will feature a Psycho Skin, Claptrap as Back Bling, and a themed Pickaxe.

According to the update 10.20 patch notes, the latest Rift Zone is based on Pandora from Borderlands.Part of the Fortnite X Mayhem collaboration, the Rift Zone brings the rules of Pandora to Fortnite, which means players will generate shield when avoiding damage.

Epic Games has reduced BRUTE spawn rates and introduced the new Shield Bubble item. When deployed, players will be protected from projectiles and explosives for 30 seconds or until its 400 health is depleted. 

Players will be able to run through it and deal damage to enemies inside, but it will also block the same weapons from hurting players on the outside.

This change in particular felt like an overswing, making it too difficult for the B.R.U.T.E to hit targets with less rockets and mobility. So on August 23 we brought the damage radius back (in core modes) to where it was before August 22. We’re continuing to closely evaluate the B.R.U.T.E. changes to make sure they align with our goals.  • As of v10.20, these changes are now also in Arena & Tournament playlists.  • Increased the dash cooldown from 3 seconds to 5 seconds.  • Decreased the velocity gained from boosting while in air by 33%.  • Adjusted the variability of spawn rates for storm phases 1, 2, and 3 in core modes.  • Note: These adjustments do not affect the spawn rates in Arena and Tournament playlists.
